{"id":10491,"date":"2024-05-13T20:55:04","date_gmt":"2024-05-14T00:55:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/manchesterproud.org\/?post_type=mnchstr_agency&#038;p=10491"},"modified":"2024-08-07T15:15:28","modified_gmt":"2024-08-07T19:15:28","slug":"manchester-naacp","status":"publish","type":"mnchstr_agency","link":"https:\/\/manchesterproud.org\/bs\/agencies\/manchester-naacp\/","title":{"rendered":"Manchester NAACP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Manchester NAACP is a volunteer organization dedicated to achieving equality, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do this by in the Greater Manchester area in the areas of:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advocacy: Assisting people of color who have encountered discrimination or have been unjustly treated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education: Ensuring that youth of color are educated on how to live in a world where they are not necessarily given the tools to succeed and holding the Manchester School District accountable for providing equitable\u00a0education opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economic Justice: Assisting people of color to grow wealth as individuals through business assistance or financial assistance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environment\/Climate Justice: Eliminating pollution and encouraging safe spaces\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health Justice: Ensuring equal access to health through dedicated health programs and clinics\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly General Membership Meetings: Educating organizations and individuals about the effects of racism and provide a space where issues can be discussed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more information, please see our calendar of events and visit us at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/naacpmanchesternh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">naacpmanchesternh.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":10501,"template":"","class_list":["post-10491","mnchstr_agency","type-mnchstr_agency","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v21.5 (Yoast SEO v28.2) -
