Virtual Community Service Tutor

Program is an academic enrichment program that supports remote and in-class learning for students within the Manchester School District. The program provides an educational infrastructure to assist students, parents, and families with navigating the virtual/school learning platform, homework help, and subject matter support. The VCST program seeks to provide these academic services to ease the burden imposed on students, parents, and families due to COVID-19, racial disparity and distance learning. The program provides a platform in which high school and college students are able to obtain community service hour credits in exchange for providing tutoring services to other students in need. The need for this tutoring program conversations with parents, students, and community members, directly support students and families struggling with remote learning. academic support for families and students during this pandemic and period of remote learning. Many parents have expressed that they need support in the following areas: academic, virtual learning platform navigation, technical troubleshooting, and access to devices, internet services and family education around learning in America.
